Stichting tot Bevordering van de Electronenmicroscopie in Nederland (SEN) – Grants Publication


The SEN has set a publication grant of € 400, -. This grant is to be used for a scientific publication on a topic in the field of electron microscopy and closely related techniques, such as a contribution to the cost of production of a thesis, in which case only one who will be promoted on that thesis as an applicant can occur.

Applicant author must be a member of the Dutch Society for Microscopy (NVvM) and this membership should be at least one year already existed. The applicant must have fulfilled its financial obligations towards the NVvM.

Applications may at any time be electronically submitted to the SEN Secretary (h.friedrich@tue.nl).

They should be accompanied by

  1. A letter of recommendation from the (co-) supervisor
  2. A short description of the content of the thesis which a substantial contribution from electron microscopic techniques shows
  3. Budget of the printing costs.

The application must be send in time, such that it is possible to mention the financial support from the SEN in the printed thesis.

The SEN board decides about granting application, taking into account the SEN financial situation.
